AD| If you feel as though you need a nap every time you watch someone just jog right past you then you are not alone. Exercise isn’t for everyone, and if you feel like it’s hard to get motivated then there are things that you can do to try and push through so you can increase your fitness level.

Try Walking
If you find the mere idea of walking difficult then try and give yourself some incentives. Don’t get magazines delivered to your door, instead, visit your local corner shop and pick up the latest issues. If you can create a buddy system, then this will help you out a lot here as well. Make time to go out and bond over a walk rather than having them over for tea, as this will help you to get the distraction you need to get over the fact that you are indeed exercising.
Take the Stairs
This one may sound like an obvious choice, but it is a fantastic way for you to lose weight. Did you know that if you climb the stairs then this can easily burn over 150 calories? This is a fantastic way for you to get some extra exercise done and you won’t even need to worry about scheduling in a workout.
Clean, Properly
Cleaning up is a good way for you to feel better about your home, but did you know that it is also a great way for you to burn calories as well? An intensive cleaning session can burn well over 200 calories, and if you combine this with a good diet, you will soon find that you can lose quite a lot of weight in a very short space of time. No workouts required.
Play Sports
If you hate the idea of working out, then why not try and make it seem more fun? Playing sport is a great way for you to try and push things to that next level in terms of your physical activity. If you have never really given sport a shot before then why not explore rugby drills, or watch some matches on television to see if it is something that interests you. The best thing about playing sport is that you can have fun and you can get a serious workout in without feeling as though you are burning calories.
Use a Basket
If you only have a few things that you need to pick up after you have finished work, then why not think about using a shopping basket instead of a cart? It’s an automatic session of weightlifting if you end up picking up more than you realise, and this can really work in your favour. If you want to try and get even more out of your shopping trip, then you can also try and park way further away from your usual parking spot. Make the effort to walk to the shop and walk back. If you make little decisions like this throughout the day, then this will help you out more than you realise.
