Tuesday: Rest day
Wednesday: PT session – chest day
Thursday: Leg strength day
Friday: Bonus workout
Saturday: Powerlifting
Sunday: Leg day endurance and core
Monday: Rest day
I’ve been doing my weeks from Tuesday to Monday in line with the rest of the month. I might go back to Monday to Sunday in Feb as it’s confusing me a bit, ha!
Anyway, I had a great chest day with the PT on Wednesday. We are working towards 8 reps at 40kg. She says I’ll need to be able to do 15 reps at 30kg for that. So 12 reps at 30kg are now in my program, managed 11 on Wednesday. Then I did 4 reps at 40kg. The last one was HARD. I did a 5th but had assistance. Just need to keep working on it!
I did leg strength on Thursday morning. I had pain in my leg which was annoying, I think I pulled a muscle, anyway, I recorded my 20kg, 30kg and 40kg squat. I’d love to be getting as low on my 40kg as my 20kg.

On Friday I did my bonus workout, which started with a run and some circuits. I was going to replace it with my core workouts as the last 2 circuits had core in them, but I didn’t have time to finish it!
On Saturday I worked out with my Instagram friend again. We did powerlifting and I used the hex bar for the first time, was alright but you have to be careful with your hand placement as it can tip. My back felt okay so I’m hoping I can start upping the weights on my deadlifts soon. Did lots of shoulder work and felt it the next day.
Sunday I did my endurance leg day. I took another video as I managed to squat onto a step box with 20kg on. I couldn’t do that a couple months ago!

Then Monday was a rest day.
I’m feeling stronger. Dry Jan has really helped me with my fitness as I’m getting a lot more out of each workout. I really need to reevaluate my relationship with alcohol come February and stop drinking on a Friday and Saturday at home just for the sake of it!
I’ve been eating really well, but sadly that isn’t reflecting on the scale. I’ve been doing pretty well on my macros. I’m not too bothered as I feel like I can see a difference in my body so I’m hoping that I am gaining a bit of muscle!
