AD// It’s been a long time since I’ve posted properly on this blog, I’m happy to make my proper return for this Nutribuddy review. A lot has happened during the past year or so. The biggest thing: having my son, Leo. He was born last November. As a result of this, I gained three and a half stone during pregnancy!
I was sick a lot. I had nausea most of my pregnancy, though it was less after about 18 weeks. The only thing that seemed to help was eating. A lot of things were off the menu for me and I was mostly eating pizza, toast with cream cheese and ham & cheese toasties. I did still manage to exercise, but nothing like my old workouts with my personal trainer!
I did plan on trying to eat plant-based for most of my pregnancy, but due to how I felt, that didn’t really happen for me. Anyway, you can read more about all that in my postpartum fitness journey post over on my lifestyle blog.

I was recently contacted by a company called Nutribuddy to review some products. Of course, this was the perfect fit for me as I was wanting to lose some weight.
What I like about Nutribuddy is:
- The products are 100% vegan
- They contain no major allergens
- The products are 100% natural
- The ingredients are ethically sourced
- Contains genuinely healthy ingredients
- Eco-friendly packaging
- Products are designed with the environment in mind.
Nutribuddy review.
I tried two products, the Nutribuddy breakfast shake and the eco-plant milk. I was also sent a reusable glass clip-top jar for my breakfast shake, a reusable glass jar for the plant milk and a stainless steel scoop. Here are my thoughts:
Nutribuddy Breakfast Shake
I picked the chocolate crunchy breakfast shake with Crunchy Flaxseeds & Coconut Flakes
The ingredients are simply: Gluten-Free Oats, Ground Flaxseeds, Cocoa Powder, Desiccated Coconut, Chia Seeds, Natural Flavouring, Stevia
It has 125 calories per serving (if made with water). I used semi-skimmed milk to make mine.
It has a lovely sweet taste that does taste like chocolate but it’s not a very strong chocolate taste. You can taste the coconut and there are bits in the drink which some people might find off-putting. But this is because they don’t use chemicals to give a smooth texture like a lot of companies do. I didn’t find this too bad, just like having bits in your orange juice.
These can be used as a meal replacement, but I used them in a similar way I would use a protein bar or cereal bar. Something to stop me from reaching for a packet of crisps or chocolate bar – which was for a snack when I was hungry (breastfeeding can make you SO hungry as it burns about 500 calories extra a day producing milk). I also used it for a snack when I didn’t have much time to eat – which sometimes happens as a parent. I don’t know where the time goes!
My primary goal for using Nutribddy was not to accelerate my weight loss but to help me continue my steady loss of 1lb a week by giving me a healthy option to turn to when I didn’t have time to prepare something nutritious.
Nutribuddy Eco-PlantMilk
Revolutionary powdered vegan milk blend made from gluten oats, salt and stevia. Simple!
Ingredients: Gluten-Free Oats, Salt, Stevia
I mixed this with my Nutribuddy breakfast shakes a few times and you couldn’t really tell a difference in taste between the eco-plant milk and semi-skimmed milk. The only difference was the temperature. The milk made it much colder as it had been in the fridge. I honestly thought it wouldn’t taste nice, but it’s pretty decent!
There are a few products I’d really like to try, including their breakfast cereal and hot slim drink. I think if I was given the choice, I’d prefer these products over the shake.

Hope you enjoyed my Nutribuddy review!
Great post! I’ve never heard an opinion of a nutribuddy so this is a very helpful review x
