Woo. Still on it and feeling fab. Worked out 6 days this week. No change in the scale. Still not overly bothered about that as I’m working on increasing my strength. Also I was off work this week, I usually walk around 8k-10k steps a day at work, so that’s been missing from my activity this week!

I tried two new classes this week, too.

One was kettle bells. It was  a new class at the gym and the instructor said there wasn’t enough kettle bells to do what he wanted, so I assume they have some new ones coming but they’re not there yet, so we did it circuit style instead. There were stations set up and we had to do the activity there for 30 seconds, then there was a 30 second body weight exercise in between. The circuit stations were:

  • box jumps
  • kettle bell swings
  • kettle bell squats
  • sit on a balance ball, lay back and get back up
  • squat shoulder presses
  • plank on a balance ball doing knee ups

The body weights exercises were:

  • push ups
  • squat jumps
  • plank
  • walk downs
  • plank to squats

I’ve probably missed some but you get the point. We did the circuit twice. It was pretty good, though painful.

I can’t go this week though because I’m working.

On Saturday I went to circuit class, which lasted 45 minutes and was a minute at each station. It was very similar to the kettle bell class but with different moves. Including BURPEES WHICH I HATE. And minute long planks.

I had a bad day on Thursday, I just felt really ill and dizzy so took it dead slow and did some mild cycling.

On Sunday, I was hung the fuck over so didn’t go to the gym. But one off day is okay and I’m hoping it will be good for me so I can smash Mondays workout!

How was your week?

Last week was probably one of my best fitness wise, I made all but one of my session but managed to keep up with my home workouts I’ve been doing all month. I’m thinking of continuing with them for June and just following the cycle again. The weekend finished me off though, damn grown up things to do and alcohol to drink haha! So this week hasn’t got off to the best start but I’m back in the gym tomorrow – woop!

I went to kettlebells once, we did more cardio than actual kettlebelling, it was not what I expected at all!

Wow, you are a machine, I can’t even get motivated to do one day of activity at the moment, I have some nerve damage in my arm which I’m letting heal properly and then I’m enrolled on a Yoga course to get me back into actually moving everything.

Hope you feel better. I love both kettle and circuits and try to do the classes whenever I can but I have been so bad with classes recently x

You are so inspiring! Seriously! You do SO much working out and classes, you have inspired me to look into my local spin class, hopefully I can manage it with my illness but I’m up for giving it my best shot! Kettle bell class sounds interesting. 🙂 I really enjoy reading these updates because you inspire me to get on the whole workout routine! xx

That circuit routine sounded brilliant, I’m surprised your legs didn’t fall off afterwards, I bet they killed! Fingers crossed the kettlebells come in soon,I love kettlebell workouts!
