Fitness update // Deadlift PB!

Monday: Chest
Tuesday: Back PT
Wednesday: Legs
Thursday: Core
Friday: Legs
Saturday: Deadlifts + Shoulders
Sunday: Deadlifts + Calisthenics

Wow, so this makes 5 weeks of the 12 weeks challenge my PT is running. It’s gone so fast, almost halfway there!

I’ve had a great week this week. Though I got off to a bit of an iffy start with chest day. I couldn’t get 8 reps on 40kg which was disappointing. I did get a PB on incline bench though!

Tuesday was back day, I did deadlifts on the straight Olympic bar for the first time in ages. I was quite shocked by how hard it was actually. As I’ve been using the hex bar and I’ve gotten to 73kg, deadlifting 60kg felt heavy!

Leg endurance day felt great on Wednesday. Well, afterwards. It was hard. But look at that depth!

Core day on Thursday – feeling like a pro on the TRX but looking anything but!

Friday was leg strength day and I did better than expected on my 50kg squat, even if I didn’t realise at the time!

I tried with my gym friend on Saturday – started with some deadlifts and then went into some shoulder work.

Sunday I did calisthenics, but the pull-up area was full and I absolutely bossed some deadlifts. 70kg! PB! My pull-ups sucked after this though.

Next Sunday marks 8 weeks since I started working on my pullups so I’m hoping to make a couple of videos of my progress. Out, it’s not going to be pretty as this is a long and slow journey!
