I’ve mentioned on my Lifestyle blog before how I’ve changed my lifestyle by replacing bad habits with good habits.
By doing this, if found it pretty easy to stay motivated with fitness and wanted to share this graphic I created with the things I do to ensure I’m staying active and healthy!
Fruit.
If you’ve read any of my WIAW posts, you’ve probably realised I’m a massive fruit fan. I have it for breakfast most days and find it a great way to boost my energy!
Green Tea.
Drinking green tea is one of the 8 things I want to make a habit in 2015. Green tea has so many healthy benefits and with all the different flavours you can get, there’s got to be something you like!
Old Sports.
I dusted off my bike last week and went out for a ride. For the first time in months! It’s good to rekindle that passion for something you’ve not done for a while, as well as add variety to your exercise plan.
New Sports.
I’m learning to snowboard which is a great workout. Something new is another great way of preventing boredom.
Yoga.
I did a 30 day yoga challenge in January and loved how it’s helped my flexibility and strength. Trying to get two or three sessions in a week now!
Music.
We all know how music can motivate you to exercise! I have certain bands or songs that I love to listen to when I’m running or working out!
Blogs.
Blogging is the ultimate form of accountability, I think. I would hate to have to post on Monday that I’ve not met a goal, or done what I’ve said I would. Although I don’t always stick to every goal I set myself, I do a lot better that I would without a blog.
It’s so easy to make excuses to get out of a workout, but I try to remind myself that I want to write a positive post on Monday about how great the previous week has gone!
Time Management.
It’s so important to plan when you’re going to work out and ensure you stick to it. I work different shifts every week so I have to plan if I’m going to work out before or after work to ensure I get a workout in.
What things do you do to stay motivated and active?
I want to try new sports too. It’s even on my list of goals for 2015, so is that serious 😀
This is an ace post – simple things, but effective. I LOVE the infographic and I think that my main motivation is blogging and other blogs.
Although I did have a low point today where I just went sod it and sacked off the gym to eat cake! But we all have bad days right?

This infographic is fab 🙂 Simple changes are definitely the key.
I’m trying to drink more green tea too. Do you try flavoured green tea? Twinings mango and lychee is lush.
I’ve had such a crappy week for health! Been knocking up around 16-18,000 steps a day, but drinking dirty beer and eating far too much.. That’s my motivation! I’ll be back in the gym first thing tomorrow 🙂
