Foam rolling is quite a new thing to me. I’ve read about it on a couple of blogs and seen some people use them at the gym but was never really 100% sure what the deal was with them.
It seems to be something that’s becoming much more common and I’ve been hearing more and more about it. So when I got the chance to review a foam roller for myself, I used it as a chance to finally give it a go
Why should you use a foam roller?
Foam rolling is basically a way to massage your muscles to release muscle tightness or trigger points. The idea is that if you apply pressure in a certain way, it will help aid recovery from workouts.
You can spot your trigger points or muscle knots because you can feel pain when you apply pressure to them.
It’s kind of like when you stretch, it should feel uncomfortable but not too painful.
This foam roller uses high quality super soft from and it really does feel nice to use.
I did buy another foam roller a few weeks ago, but prefer this one over it because of the comfort.
It’s such a satisfying level of pain. Which sounds weird. But it’s almost like you can feel the pain escaping your muscles as you roll.
It’s sturdy and lightweight and is such a welcome relief after a long run.
You can get your own Power Foam Roller here.
Have you ever used a foam roller before? How did you find it?
Is very interesting. I didn’t try a foam roller before and wasn’t sure how it works 🙂
