After I ran the Bradford 10k in March, I wrote post about the training I did for it.
As another 10k is looming soon (oh yes -I entered one on Monday), I wanted to give myself a bit of motivation and remind myself of the training I did for the Leeds 10k in July to compare to now.
I love to have all the data in one place ready to read as the MapMyRun website is full of popup adverts and can be difficult to navigate between old workouts!

The Race
I would say that I’m in a similar better place to what I was in my last 10k as although I’ve been running for the same amount of time, my workouts have been faster and I’ve been pushing more.
I just need to get some more 5 plus miles in. I ran 5 miles on Tuesday – I’ll do another 5 miler on Sunday, then again on Thursday around my days off work. I’d love to get a few shorter 3 mile runs in after work too, but I don’t usually get home until 7ish and feel exhausted! I WILL TRY.
The whole short but fast runs I was talking about on Monday is on hold until I get this out of the way.
I’d love to beat my time, I ran Bradford 10k in 1 hour 15, so anything below that would be fantastic!
You’re doing great Corrine 😀 Although I think you’re crazy entering 10K races :p

Hey Corinne, I have a question for ya. Although I’m not planning on doing any 10k runs Anytime soon. I’m wanting to at least attempt to get in shape. I’m 42 not working and I would like to start working out. Any tips?
this is making me motivated. i need to run more!
I stupidly assumed that your upcoming 10K would be your first (d’oh!)… I apologize if my comments on your other post seem condescending at all because of that… they weren’t meant to be! 🙂 Regardless, I still think you’ll do great! You’re approaching training so much better than I did… I need to take a page from your book 🙂
