Adding supplements to your food or smoothie is the easiest and quickest way to get that extra boost of nutrition.

As I’m trying to build a bit of muscle, Indigo Herbs sent me a selection of products with this in mind.

Organic Raw Banana Powder.

If you’re thinking WTF is Cordyceps CS4, then you’re probably not alone.

The Cordyceps sinensis fungi is a bit rare and only grows in China and Tibet. It’s quite expensive to get hold of but it can now be grown in labs.

It’s said to be the secret weapon that the Chinese athletes owe their 1996 Olympic success too.

I’ve never been a fan of beetroot, but it has plenty of benefits so this beetroot powder would be a great way of benefiting from them.

Did you know that beetroots used to be long like carrots?

Heh.

Benefits:

  • Can help cool you down if you’re too warm.
  • Help with fatigue.
  • Nutrient Rich

Here’s how I’ve been using a few of these powders:

Raw banana powder smoothie:

I blended together:

  • Mango
  • Black grapes
  • Blueberries
  • Chia Seeds
  • 2 table spoons banana powder.

This smoothie was delicious. I don’t know what I was expecting from the banana powder, but it tasted exactly like I had added bananas in the smoothie and gave the smoothie the same texture. It was delicious and I’m excited to use this again.

I often buy bananas but they tend to go off before I get chance to use them, which is a risk when you buy a lot of fresh fruit. This eliminates that!

Spirulina Smoothie

I blended together:

  • 1 pear
  • Strawberries
  • Mango
  • Blueberries
  • 2 table spoons spirulina powder

This powder turned my whole powder black. When I saw it I had a slight fear that I might have added too much and it might have ruined the taste but this doesn’t have a flavour at all, so all I could taste was fruit!

Check out Indigo Herbs for yourself. They have lots of supplements plus information on how to use them and tips for you to lead a healthy lifestyle.
