Last week was just doom. It was one of those weeks that just didn’t go right. Not just in fitness, but it everything. Things weren’t too bad until the end of the week.
I went snowboarding on Wednesday night, which was great! We went for 2 hours. It wasn’t a lesson this time. We bought a lift pass and practiced what we learnt from lesson 4. We’re probably going to go again before we go to the last lesson.
On Thursday, I got up early to go run before work. We didn’t get home until almost 11pm on Wednesday, so I was tired.
When I set off, I told myself I’d just run a 5k at whatever pace felt comfortable. Then at just over a mile in, I started to get bad stomach pains. I felt heavy, in pain and slow. So I cut the 3.1 mile run short. When I looked at my watch, my split was only 10:42. Which would be good for longer runs but I was hoping for a much better pace. The pain was just too much though. Doom.
On Friday I had packed my bag to go to the gym straight after work. But I forgot my headphones, so came home to get them. Then I realised I had left my purse at work with my gym card in. By then, I felt so beaten down by life that I just decided not to go. I did some weights in my room instead. Haha.
On Sunday, I had planned to do a 10 mile run. It rained all day. I went to the gym in the afternoon and ran 6k on the treadmill and did weights. I need to figure out when I’m going to make up for this long run!
I’m thinking of doing them in my midweek day off, as I have a wedding in a couple of weeks over the weekend so I can’t run that Sunday either.
I just felt like everything was against me this week!
Next week will be better.
You are doing great job! I can’t believe you get to do so much during a week! I’ve only just started, doing a little bit of running during weekends and I’ve bought the stability ball to strenghten my core as I get really bad back ache from all the sitting in the office. But reading what you do, I feel like a slob! Haha
