After last weeks 10k run, my legs were absolutely dead! DEAD DEAD DEAD DEATH BY LEGS. I didn’t even hurt that much after the half marathon I ran.
I woke up on Monday in so much pain. Then, on Tuesday, I was excited to wake up and feel pain free. But nope. Didn’t happen.
Everyone kept asking me what was wrong as I was walking like an idiot ha.
I’ve had another busy week, so didn’t manage to get to the gym until Friday. I ran a mile on the treadmill doing some interval work which was good and then did some cycling. My gym session got cut short though as I had a phone call about some bad news so had to leave.
On Sunday I ran a 3 mile hill run. It was so hard, but the 10k I’m doing next week is quite hilly so I thought I better get one in.
I’m not sure how often I can go to the gym this week. It’s the first week of my new job and I’m working a weird shift due to stock take so I’m just going to see how it goes.
10k race on Sunday!
After the race, I’m going to be looking more into how to build muscle. I think my plan is going to be outdoor runs to training and when I go to the gym, just do around 10 mins on the treadmill at high speed and spend the rest weight training. It’s going to be hard going as I hate lifting weights but I need to just do it±
How’s your week been?
I know what you are feeling, I had the same last week. Maybe I have to do a longer warming up
I get that “dead leg” feeling every time I run (hahahaha)!
I’ll be cheering for your muscle-building! I’ve been working on it and I’m having a hard time.
Totally understand and 10km is such a long run. I’ve only ever done it 2 times, would like to again but know I’d get injured again if I did right now
