I’ve been doing so well at the gym this week, as you can see, I’ve been burning off so many calories and doing a lot of interval work to keep my heart beat up. It’s felt great. I went to the gym 7 times and it felt amazing. Saturday and Sunday were short workouts though, as I was working until 10pm on Saturday and went after and midnight on Sunday, so got to the gym at 1am!
I’ve also been doing really well with food! I’m still feeling really motivated.
As you can see, I stopped yoga on Tuesday. I did have the intention of doing the full 30 day challenge, but I just wasn’t feeling it. Last years yoga challenge was a lot different, some of the days were only 10 or 15 minutes long. This year, the challenges have been over 30 minutes each day and after a 9 hour shift, 2 hours of commute, over an hour in the gym, I just couldn’t take another 30 minutes each day for yoga. Not because I was tired, but because of time. To be honest, I was finding it really boring, too. A lot of it was still or very calm yoga, which is good for when you need it but I want to use yoga to build strength. Out of the whole 30 minute sessions, there were only around 5 minutes that felt like hard work. I just wasn’t getting anything out of it.
I’ve stuck with the Shayloss challenges, though and I’m going to keep them up but not daily – I’ll just do them in order.
On Monday I’ll be starting something else, which again is another reason I’ve stopped yoga.
I’ve agreed to use a shake and weight for 12 minutes a day and review it, so I’ll be starting this today and letting you know how I get one!
The plan for next week is to use the shake weight and do Shayloss every day and to go to the gym Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
How has your week been?
You went to the gym at one o’clock in the morning?? Haha I don’t know if that’s dedication or insanity!! 🙂
You’ve done SO well! I’ve been getting back into it but I didn’t work out every day… I’m hoping to this week! I find Yoga really boring, I’ve tried so many times to get into it but I just can’t!
Well done on your incredible week!
wow, that’s dedication. I’m terrible at time management so I can almost never go to the gym more than 4-5 times a week (though I’d love to go more!), and I was injured in early December so… 🙁 Hopefully I will get back to it after exams, I’m dying to. Would you recommend yoga to build strength? It’s one of my main goals and I’m trying to choose what class I want to start attending in the new year, since I have access to all of them at my gym 🙂
Oh my gosh good on you, I’ve hardly even touched the gym since I stopped dancing. This has sort of motivated me to do some exercise though. What were you doing at the gym at 1am! Hahha, I bet you slept well after that!
