Oh god, the last week has been amazing.
I’ve had the week off work and I’ve been living the dream. I went to the gym Monday through to Friday, so 5 times! I also did 2 spin classes. I’ve been working loads on weights and I’m feeling much stronger. I pretty much got into the routine I would love to have if I didn’t work. Gym 1pm-3pm, blog and chill and have weekends for being social. It’s been perfect.
I had a busy weekend, so Saturday I couldn’t work out and on Sunday I went to the Yorkshire Sculpture Parks and walked for 7 miles. So that’s not too shabby.
I’ve been doing really well at tracking everything on my fitness pal, apart from on the weekend, but I’m okay with that.
I also gained 2 of the 4lbs back that I lost, which is a bit frustrating but I’ve been doing loads of weights so I kind of expect to stay the same for a few weeks and then drop some weight. I’ve seen a difference in my body which is really motivating me and I’ve been tracking exactly what I’m doing at the gym and in only two weeks, I’ve managed to add quite a bit of extraweight to my routine.
Today I start a new job which has new hours, so it should make the gym easier for me. I want to go at least 4 times, but I’m hoping to go 5 times. I also have a spin class booked on Thursday night which I’m excited for, I want to book a few more but the evening ones get booked up so quickly, must get on that app first thing to book for Monday evening!
Food has been great too, apart from over the weekend because I had a cheese and wine night with my friend. I didn’t eat loads though but I had quite a bit of wine which can really add up calorie wise!
I’m feeling really good and positive about fitness right now and really want to submerge myself into and start seeing some definition in my arms and legs. And maybe stomach. But I don’t think that will happen until I’ve lost a bit of weight! I’ve been doing 100 abs after every gym session!
How has your week been?
Gah! I WISH I had your motivation whilst off work! I had all these plans to gym and write and live the dream, but all I actually did was sit on the couch and read or watch a TON of Netflix. It wasn’t that I didn’t have the motivation, I just felt like I really needed to stop for a couple of days – the only problam was, once I’d put the breaks on I couldn’t take them off again. Sadly back at work now but I’m hoping to fall back into my old routine and get my ass back in the gym!
I’m still too scared to take a spinning class!

Your motivation is very inspiring for me!
I wish I had the time to go to the gym. Or, rather, I wish I had a way to get to the gym and then work too, because I have two hours in the morning where I’m sat in the bistro at work because my ride starts earlier than I do…ugh. But I’m super proud of you sticking with it 🙂
Congratulations on such a good week! I’ve been to the gym 4 times this week so far (I usually go every lunchtime on my break from work)… hoping to make it a 5th time tomorrow! x
