Hello ladies and gentlemen,
I have been in Australia for a week and a half now and I’m having an amazing time. My niece’s wedding is over, which is sad, but we still have another two and a half weeks to go before we go back to the UK.
I’ve managed to get some exercise in, which is great.
Here’s what I’ve done so far:
Sunday: 40-minute run.
Tuesday: 30-minute run.
Thursday: 1 hour at the gym – mostly weights.
Sunday: 40-minute run.
I’m having to rely on my brother to take me to the gym, so running has been the best option for me and the weather is perfect for it. It’s going to get really hot over the next few days but I’m going to try and go out for runs in the mornings.
We’re staying on a lovely estate that has lakes and it’s so quiet. It’s still being built so there are loads of half-built houses the further I go. I’ve been enjoying not having GPS to calculate how many miles I’m running. I’ve just been tracking my heart beat on my FitBit. It’s nice not to feel pressured to run faster. I’m even enjoying running. I hated it when I ran the half marathon in May.
How’s your week been?
This looks like a beautiful place to go running, and I really admire your willpower. When I’m on holiday exercise is the last thing on my mind! I’m glad you’re enjoying running again, instead of feeling under pressure. I find it feels about 400 x more exhausting when you’re inundated with stats on how you’re doing!
