Worked out 6 days last week. I took Saturday as my rest day, even though I really wanted to run! I had an intense leg session with my PT on Tuesday and my legs ached for days so I knew I needed to rest them.
It was probably for the best because I rode 30 miles on Sunday with my boyfriend and would have struggled with tired legs. I actually managed it pretty easily.
I’ve not done much running at all this week which is frustrating. My PT has changed my cardio blast so it’s some time on the bike rather than a 5k. I prefer the treadmill based one though as it’s much harder and gets my heart racing. I also was starting to see progress with my 5k. I was planning on still running a 5k but I had trouble finding the time. Annoying!
I have had some treadmill intervals and sprints this week.
Weight wise, I did a leg day on Tuesday. I went heavy on the incline leg press. Sadly, because the squat racks were all being used we had to do some exercises before squats so I couldn’t go as heavy as planned. I also had a chest workout that I did on Thursday. On Friday I did abs and some weight circuits.
I need to get my ass in gear with running though! After my great 10k last week I don’t want to lose fitness.
I may run on Monday, but we are going on Sunday evening so it depends how my head feels in the morning! If not, I might do a bit of a run after my PT session on Tuesday. On Saturday I’m working at 1 pm so hope to get a long run on Saturday morning and another ride on Sunday. Though it is forecast rain!
Weight hasn’t changed. Fuck my life.
