Monday: Gym – 15 mins running and 25 mins weights
Wednesday: 1 mile sprint, 15 mins cycling, 30 mins weights.
Saturday: 10k run.
Sunday: 11 mile bike ride.
Another busy week! I’ve been doing the social thing again which is meaning I’ve not been able to work out.
I’ve started working on my sprints. On Wednesday I ran a mile in 9.32 – which isn’t my fastest mile but is probably my fastest on a treadmill. I’m going to carry on doing 1 mile sprints while I’m at the gym and work on getting my time down for my 5k.
I went on my first 10k run after the half marathon on Saturday morning. It was really nice! I would have liked to have done it a bit quicker than I have this week but I’m not complaining! I seem to be running 10k runs between 1hour and 1hour 05 which is much better than a few months ago. Woo.
I also cycled for the first time since January. It was actually really nice and not as hard as I thought it would be to get back into it. I did 11 miles, some hills and enjoyed the sunshine. It was a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
How has your week been?
I’ve started working on the bike this week at the gym, working on pace setting and have actually found myself enjoying it, also pumping up the intensity on the cross trainer and working on sprint bursts on the treadmill!
I’m going to attempt to start a strength training programme soon – what have you done to me?
