I kind of feel like this post is long over due, I’ve had my Fitbit for months now and I’m only just getting around to writing this review. But you know, life and that.
I was sent this as compensation for doing a giveaway. I didn’t have to review it, but I kind of wanted to seeing as I wear it ever single day!
So what a Fitbit does is basically tracks your movements. It counts your steps, knows when you’re active (doing cardio) and tracks your movement during the night to see how restful your sleep is.
I have the Flex version, which is the entry level one. You can get more expensive ones that track your heart rate and have more fancy functions.
The Fit bit itself is a little black thingy. Thingy. Great wording there, Corinne. You sit it inside the band to wear on your wrist. My Fitbit came with two bands, one bigger than the other for different wrist sizes.
It also comes with the charger, which connects to a USB port and a little USB dongle type thing so you can connect the Fitbit data to your computer.
The batter lasts for AGES too! I reckon I charge mine once a week? Maybe even less. I just plug it in when I’m in the shower and that seems to do the trick.
You can download the Fitbit app which you can use on the go to track your progress.
You can set targets within the app, such as how many steps you want to take a day, log calories, track your weight, sleep and more.
You can also get extra bands with patterns on them from Amazon, they’re not that expensive and make things a bit more exciting. Winner.
I was using an app called Moves before that tracked my steps and activity on my phone, but it drained my battery and obviously only calculated steps when I had my phone on me.
Do you have a Fitbit or similar device?
Yes love me my fitbit! I tried the app versions too but such a pain to always have the phone on and it drains so much. I’ve had mine for almost a year and it still gets me moving!
