Have you ever been pounding the pavement and a fast song with a strong beat comes onto your iPhone and suddenly, you feel yourself running faster and to the beat? Yeah, mate! I’m sure you know what I mean.

Did you ever think that the genre of music you pick can be hurting your workout? Nope, me neither.

Researchers have been looking into the effects of music before, after and during your workout.

I can’t run without music! It’s one of the reasons I usually prefer running on my own. Agreed on the speeding up to keep with the beat too, or at least maintaining the pace until the song finishes. Sprint sections during the chorus are a good one too 🙂
