Fitness Update // What a week

Wow, I’ve had such a weird week. First week of new job! I worked weird hours due to stock take, this included a 3am start one morning which threw me out for the rest of the week.

On Saturday I did an arm weight workout at home an on Sunday I went to the gym and did 40 mins cardio and a 35 min weight session, burning 620 calories according to my heart rate monitor.

I’m going to have a complete overhaul of my diet, that started yesterday.

I’m going to post more about it on Wednesday when I’ve had time to figure it out. But I want the half marathon training to start now and to add weights into my plan – I’ve been toying with this idea for weeks but not actually done anything about it.

Time to stop talking and start doing!

    Last week was my first week on my new closing schedule. It’s not fun getting up at 630am and working til 7pm. But Saturday I started a squat challenge and I’m pretty excited about my progress.

    I have a new schedule too. 4 times a week I have to sport (running, kickboxing)

    Ugh I’m struggling so hard to get into a healthy routine. It’s so hard to find time to workout while having a job! But I think eating healthy is the big thing I really need to work on! Maybe we can keep each other motivated through the process!

    Dragging my sorry ass to the gym at 6am seems to actually be a good thing! I have way more energy and motivation in the morning than I do going in the evening after work and can really feel a change in my energy levels throughout the day – winner! I don’t know how you work your wonky shift patterns sometimes, I’m like a newborn baby, I crave routine!
