Fitness Update // Getting back on track and Leeds 10k

Monday: 6 mile cycle
Tuesday: 30 mins yoga/weights
Thursday: 4 mile run
Friday: Gym – 10 mins treadmill, 20 mins cycling, weights
Saturday: 10 mile cycle
Sunday: 10k run and 4mile walk.

Finally getting a bit more on track this week! Only had one rest day, though I had planned on going to the gym on Wednesday but I was working at 6am and didn’t sleep the night before. I came home and slept. What a waste 🙁

I’ve been trying to get out on my bike more and trying out some new routes. I’m still find hills hard but I’m hoping if I keep getting out regularly, I’ll see an improvement.

Finally – Leeds 10k was Sunday. I knocked 10 minutes off last years time which is great to say I’ve not done any outdoor running since Paris apart from Race for Life 5k a couple weeks ago and Thursdays 4 miles.

I walked home from the 10k, it was a nice day and I didn’t want to spend £5 on the taxi when I could walk. Took 3.2 miles to walk back, my moves app tracked 4 miles walking and 7 miles running as I ran a bit of it and also the walking I did before the race.

I’m feeling a bit more positive about getting back on track with my fitness!

Next week I plan to go out on my bike at least twice, snowboard once, run once and gym once. Anything else will be a bonus – I’m working rubbish hours next week which makes it hard to fit workouts in as it’s often a bit too late to go out when I get back, but too early to fit one in before work! I’ll make something work.
