Fitness Update // Deadlifts and Squats

 

Monday: Chest day
Tuesday: PT leg day
Wednesday: Powerlifting
Thursday: Rest
Friday: Rest
Saturday: Core
Sunday: Leg day.

This is the last week of my current program. Looking forward to seeing what’s next.

After the success of last weeks back day, I decided to deadlift 48kg on Wednesday’s powerlifting session. It felt good actually. You seen see my deadlift in this Instagram post:

I can’t wait to start living more in the next few weeks!

I’ve also done better on squats. I feel like I’ve really nailed my 40kg. Now it’s time to work on 45kg. It feels so heavy compared with 45!

40kg squat progress. First video today = 6 reps, second video 25th September 2018 = 3 reps. . Slowly chipping away at depth! In the past 4 weeks I’ve gotten so much more comfortable with 40kg. Adding an extra 5kg feels like I’ve added an extra 50kg though, so time to work on that next! . I know I say it all the time, but I’ve always struggled with my depth. Trick is not to compare yourself to others, instead compare yourself to your past self. 2 leg days a week, consistent training, box squats, front squats, flexibility work all have helped me improve my depth.
