Fitness Update // Deadlift PB

Monday: Leg day
Tuesday: PT power lift session
Wednesday: Rest
Thursday: Chest day
Friday: PT leg day
Saturday: Circuits, back, and shoulders.
Sunday: Rest day

Had a great week last week! Got a deadlift PB: 60kg. I’ve not been lifting heavy with deadlifts lately, only up to 40kg because I had a couple of weeks where my form went a bit weird. I wasn’t tilting enough and kind of squatting instead so we stripped it back to focus on form.

Then in Tuesday’s session, I was feeling strong so tried 60kg! It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be but it did feel different to 50kg. My PT says that because you need to engage legs more with it being heavier. Hopefully, I’ll be deadlifting my bodyweight in no time!

Chest session was also good! I’ve been pressing 12x 20kg for my warm up, then 3 sets of 8x 30kg, then my program says 3 sets of 2-4 reps at 35kg. That was the first time I’ve managed to do 4 reps each time!

I’ve got a new program next week so excited to see where it goes.

I’ve lost 3lbs too, which is great. Another couple would be great! Been eating well apart from Sunday when I was hungover. I am feeling back in the right headspace though!
