What I Ate Wednesday // Lots of Kidney Beans


So breakfast was a typical fruit salad with mango and grapes, nothing too exciting!


I had a salad for dinner which had kale, kidney beans, sweet corn, couscous, olives, feta, iceberg, cucumber and houmous.

I bought the kale as it’s something people hype up a lot. Honestly, it was horrible. Imagine seeing weeds in your garden. Imagine how those weeds might taste.

That’s what kale tastes like. Fuck that shit.

In other news, I’ve been using kidney bean a lot since I’ve gone vegetarian. They have a pretty decent protein content and are just easy to slip into meals. I tend to take a full 400g and mix it with other things, such as sweetcorn, onions, peppers and cucumber. Then I keep it in the fridge in a plastic box and I have it ready to use for my next meal.


In the evening, my dinner was pretty similar to my afternoon meal. Apart from I didn’t have couscous but did have a lamb style quorn steak. Tried kale again. I hated it still. Yuck!

Somethings just aren’t worth forcing down, superfood or not.
